Conditioners / Stack Cookers

Stack cookers made by CPM SKET are used for heating, drying and hydro-thermal preparation of crushed and uncrushed oil seeds, oil fruits and press cake as pre-stage in preparation of continuous pressing in screw presses.

Apart from thermal preparation of seeds, stack cookers are used for the following extraction.

The steam-heated stack cookers are equipped with shell and tray heating and may be optionally provided with one additional heating ring in the first tray. The number of trays is dependent on the type of stack cooker.

Seed is supplied to the stack cooker through one variable-speed feeding screw conveyor or one moistening screw conveyor.

The agitator system serves to distribute seed to the trays. The tray filling rate can be controlled during operation and kept constant by self-operated gate valve systems. The developing vapours are discharged through the exhauster. The stack cookers have two outlets for optional installation of a second conveying route for bypassing the screw presses.
